Using Alpha Premium Skid Loader Oil will increase the lifespan of your equipment between 2x and 4x normal lifespan. One major reason we are able to do this is that skid loaders require a lot of zinc (Zn) for lubrication. Most hydraulic oils have a maximum of 350–400 ppm Zn. Alpha Premium Skid Loader Oil is a custom designed lubricant specifically built to provide maximum protection to the hydrostatic drive of skid loaders, skid steers, and track loaders. Because it is tailor made just for hydrostatic drive systems, it is able to provide both maximum anti-wear protection as well as moisture tolerance. High pressure hydrostatic systems require more anti-wear additives than what most recommended oils provide. Typically, OEMs of skid loaders recommend hydraulic oil, tractor fluid, or gasoline engine motor oil. Most of these recommended oils have additives that are not so friendly to hydrostatic pumps, especially when water and moisture are present. Another reason these recommended oils are not the best choice is they lack enough zinc in their formulation. Skid loaders require a lot of zinc to satisfy their lubrication needs. Most hydraulic oils have a maximum of 350–400ppm Zn. Alpha Premium Skid Loader Oil is fortified with 2400 ppm of Zinc, providing optimum protection for more hours than any product on the market today.
